I appreciated the room and its traditional decor. It included a comfortable bed and a private bathroom. - the hotel was just off the island, the ocean, and the town center. - the property was at the end of the road, as I expected.

The rooms are beautiful and well-equipped, with comfortable beds. The breakfasts is local and scrumptious with a wide range of food. Everyone is helpful and host too. Location is extremely quiet and best possible, right in the neighborhood.

I recently stayed at Residencia Mateus in Faja Grande for 10 days and it was one of the best places I've stayed during my 10-day trip to the Azores. The location was perfect, with beautiful views of waterfalls and the sea, and just a 2-minute walk to the ocean and town center. The room was excellent, with all the amenities I needed, including a kettle, wine glasses, and a selection of towels. The daily cleaning and change of towels were also appreciated. The breakfast was delicious, featuring local products like cheese, bread, and jams. The hosts were incredibly friendly. a fantastic stay!
